If you’ve been thinking about earning your PMP, the updated PMP exam may have added another question to your list: What will it take to prepare for this version? Here’s an encouraging answer from Cheetah Learning: among our students who have taken the updated PMP exam, our pass rate is 100% so far, as of October 15, 2026.

Behind that result are individual stories—people who arrived nervous, questioned whether they could do it, and developed the confidence and skills to pass the PMP exam after FOUR days with Cheetah’s accelerated exam prep approach.
Folks this is NOT Novel – this is the way it works at Cheetah Learning. Just saw this on Linked in – this is the norm – “Yesterday, after the 35-hour bootcamp in July and two and a half months of studying, I passed the Project Management Professional Exam through the Project Management Institute… I have taken major entrance and certification exams previously, but this was the longest (4 hours) and the most mentally taxing. Happy to now move into a new level of involvement and learning in business systems projects.”
What changed on the PMP exam?
PMI introduced the updated exam in July 2026. It places greater emphasis on business outcomes and value, incorporates artificial intelligence and sustainability into project scenarios, and increases the Business Environment domain’s share of the exam.
For candidates, the practical question is how to apply project management knowledge to the situations presented. Knowing terminology helps. Understanding what a question is asking—and evaluating the possible responses—is essential.
You can review the changes directly on PMI’s updated PMP exam page.
From uncertainty to confidence
One Cheetah graduate described initially seeing the exam as a “black box” filled with memorization and trick questions. The turning point came with understanding the exam strategy and what the questions were evaluating.
That shift matters. When you understand how to approach a question, you have a way to work through uncertainty.
For Shawn W., who had previously attempted the exam without success, confidence developed alongside his adoption of Cheetah’s Peak Performing Mind practices:
“Day 3. I was fully embracing the peak performing mind and was confident I would be prepared on exam day!”
Asked what he valued, Shawn pointed to the everyday practices:
“Routine. Do the small things every day. Eat healthy, breathe, stretch, and pop that mint!”
Another graduate, Krystle S., described how encouragement from her coaches helped her believe she could succeed. Her takeaway was simple:
“Trusting the process works, and I believe in myself.”
Preparation includes Creating a Peak Performing Mind
Cheetah’s four-day Virtual Live program includes preparation before class begins. That preparation includes developing your Peak Performing Mind: assessing the habits that affect your readiness, establishing a consistent sleep routine, exercising, and practicing techniques for focus and managing stress.
During class, students bring that foundation together with Cheetah’s proprietary PMP Strategy Coach to quickly master the skills to pass the PMP exam the day after their Cheetah Course ends.
The program asks for commitment. Students complete the preparation, participate fully, and practice the approach with guidance from their coaches.
What does 100% passing so far mean for you?
It means the Cheetah students who have taken the updated exam are still passing the day after their four day Cheetah PMP Exam Prep program. That is not at all surprising as it’s been the norm with Cheetah’s program since 2001.
